چکیده
Background: The aim of the present study was to compare changes observed in children after early treatment mild class III malocclusion using bimaxillary removable plates supported by elastics and elastodontic devices. Methods: Twenty (mean age 7.6 ± 1.1 years) with signs were treated by-maxillary (PG group) (10 subjects = mean 7.9 1.3 or devices (EG 7.4 0.8 years). Digital models lateral cephalograms obtained before (T0) at end (T1). digital analyzed assess occlusal maxillary morphology surface-to-surface matching technique. Changes cephalometric parameters also analyzed. data outcomes statistically paired Student’s t test for inter-timing assessments independent inter-group assessments. Results: Both groups showed correction malocclusions, a significant increase ANB angle overjet (p < 0.05). Subjects PG group exhibited greater reduction inter-incisal compared EG had significantly lower percentage palatal between T0 T1 0.05), suggesting morphological palate. Conclusions: Elastodontic appliances (EAs) bi-maxillary successfully correct malocclusions children. However, improved palate, both transverse anteroposterior directions.

Prevalence of Radiographic Changes of Temporomandibular Joint Condyle in Patients with Skeletal Class II and III
Background and purpose: Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders are abnormalities that interfere with the shape or normal functioning of the joint, characterized by a group of clinical symptoms including pain, joint sounds, and limitation or deviation when opening the mouth. Considering the effect of skeletal relationships of the jaw on the shape, size, and morphologic variations of the condyle...

To assess changes in bimaxillary morphology in patients with Class II division I malocclusion treated using Twin Block appliances (TBA), pre- and posttreatment lateral cephalographs of 100 patients seven to 16 years of age were compared. The patients were divided into four groups: (1) prepubertal boys (mean treatment time; 13.6+/-4.0 months), (2) adolescent boys (20.1+/-7.7 months), (3) prepube...
متن کاملThe Morphometric Analysis of Maxillopalatal and Mandibular Changes of Skeletal Class III Malocclusion Treated with Orthopedic Therapy
The purpose of this study was to investigate the treatment effects on the maxillopalatal mandibular configuration by occipito-mental anchorage (OMA) (maxillary protraction) combined with chin cup appliance (CCA) therapy among growing children. The assessment of geometric morphometric, using Procrustes analysis, thin plate spline analysis, and growth-trended vectors, was applied and integrated t...
متن کاملChanges of occlusal plane inclination after orthodontic treatment with and without extraction in Class II patients
Introduction: The inclination of the occlusal plane (OP) is related to type of dental occlusion. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the inclination of occlusal plane in Class II patients treated with the upper first premolars extraction or non-extraction modalities. Materials & Methods: Totally, forty 16-25-year-old patients (15 males and 25 females) with class II malocclusion, ...
